Second MonthAbigail's second month had a large chunk of it devoted to getting her first virus and getting over it. She was sick and recovering for about two weeks, so I was mostly occupied walking her and not photographing her. But we did had a very pleasant Easter celebration with our families and Abigail was recovered enough to come with us to our first Passover Seder a few days before that.
Ben acquired a pacifier for Abby that she actually approves of and that has made life significantly easier for all of us. Abigail really likes to be moving and doing things, but she really can't yet so she gets annoyed and fusses. The pacifier gives her something to do for the moment since she both sucks on it and plays with it and is therefore content to sit in her bouncy chair for longer than five minutes. I keep her next to me while I'm making dinner and talk to her and she sucks on the pacifier and watches me. She's not too much different yet than she was at one month, but she's beginning to learn a few important things that are making life easier: going to bed without crying, sitting in her bouncy chair for a bit without crying, and playing with her play mat for a few minutes without crying. This is allowing my back to be a little less sore! |
